Mrs. Wade received her BS in Business and Economic Education from Appalachian State University and taught her first year at Forest Hills High School in Monroe. From there, she taught at Ranson Middle School and Woodham High School in Pensacola, Florida while her husband was in flight school with the United States Marine Corp. They moved to Jacksonville, NC where she taught at the community college. After moving back to Monroe, Mrs. Wade received her MS in Marketing Education at Winthrop University and taught at Piedmont High School and Parkwood High School. At Parkwood, she taught business courses and Marketing. The last three years at Parkwood were spent in the Guidance Department where she was the Dropout Prevention Counselor and Testing Coordinator. After being accepted into the Principal Fellows program, she attended UNCC and obtained her Masters in Educational Leadership and Curriculum. In 2005 she became the Assistant Principal at Sardis Elementary School. She joined Union County Early College in 2010 as the assistant principal and became the principal at the beginning of the 2011 school year.
Mrs. Wade has three daughters; Jennifer, Emily, and Claire. She also has four grandsons, James, Luke, Asa, and Elias. She is married to Keith Wade and they live in the Fairview community.
